Secret #2: We don't "finish learning knowledge before starting competition problems"
The Gaoling CBO course adopts a progressive teaching design. Even if students haven't systematically studied AP Biology, they can start with essential basic concepts and gradually build a clear framework of biological knowledge.
However, our teaching doesn't involve students spending a lot of time learning the entire textbook first, and then concentrating on competition training.
From the very first knowledge point learned, CBO question types, logic, and problem-solving methods are integrated into the classroom.
Each class combines relevant Olympiad examples and practice questions, allowing students to understand biological concepts while practicing how to:

Quickly extract key information from long problem statements;

Perform logical deductions based on known conditions;

Determine experimental variables and causal relationships;

Read complex charts and data;

Verify or exclude hypotheses based on experimental results;

Transfer acquired knowledge to unfamiliar situations;

Deduce answers using problem information even when the knowledge is not fully familiar.
In other words, students don't just learn "what this knowledge point is", but also continuously train on "how this knowledge point will be tested in CBO, and how I should approach it."
