In the recently concluded world-class Vancouver Marathon, Steven, one of Hillhouse's founders, completed the full marathon challenge as an amateur athlete, achieving 409th place out of 7,245 participants, placing him in the top 6%.
This is not merely an athletic achievement; it's a true demonstration of discipline, long-term commitment, and a method of growth.
On-Site Highlights: A Glimpse of the Performance
Steven on the course
In the recently concluded world-class marathon, Steven, as an amateur runner, completed the 42.195-kilometer race in 3 hours and 12 minutes, securing 409th place out of 7,245 participants, firmly placing him in the top 5.6%. (Many of the top 100 are professional marathon runners from various countries. A time of 3 hours would place one around 150th, while 3 hours and 12 minutes puts one in the 400s.)
This was not just a 42.195-kilometer challenge, but an interpretation of discipline, focus, and self-transcendence. Despite a very busy work schedule, he maintained high-intensity training and achieved remarkable results in a top-tier competition.
In a marathon, it's at these moments when you feel you can't go on that determine how far you can truly go.
Welcome to Steven's team of elite teachers. We do not select students based on their current achievements; we focus on nurturing and improving ordinary students, and we also have the capability to guide excellent students to reach national and international prominence. All our cases prove that:
We excel at improving and transforming both ordinary and excellent students, helping them ultimately stand out, healthy and vibrant.

Students are fortunate to have such a team of Ivy League planning teachers.
In the eyes of his students, Steven is not just an excellent mentor, but truly a role model who "leads by example." In the classroom, students often see him energetic and vibrant, with various sports equipment by his side. This positive attitude constantly inspires every child around him.
Steven has an outgoing personality and was a member of the IB Student Council, participating in 6 to 7 club activities weekly during his school years, remaining active in campus life for a long time. He loves sports, having been a member of the Vancouver Junior Ice Hockey Club and the Yale School amateur ice hockey team. He also consistently trains in swimming, skiing, waterskiing, skateboarding, and cycling, and participates in triathlons and marathons almost every year.
Beyond sports, his interests and experiences are equally rich: he was a drummer in a band, loves photography, starred in Shakespeare's "Macbeth," and has traveled by car through multiple countries in North America, South America, Africa, and Europe, possessing an expansive international perspective and cross-cultural understanding.
Steven leads an elite planning and application team that is both professional, responsible, and caring, accompanying students in their healthy growth both online and offline, a truly rare gem in Vancouver.
Our planning service features:
1. Ensuring excellent school grades, competition results, and school club activities and elections
2. Each student has their unique activity main theme
