The teachers are not only graduates of prestigious universities with outstanding academic achievements, but also have more than 20 years of experience in international mathematics competitions and teaching. They are familiar with the BC curriculum and Hillhouse has its own teaching system that emphasizes mathematical logic and thinking training. The classes are lively and interesting, and students are encouraged to skip grades and participate in competitions to help them truly understand mathematics.

Since 2006 , Hillhouse students have achieved remarkable results:
- Advancement to the AIME and USAMO annually in the AMC 10/12 national mathematics competitions.
- Selected for the CMO and Olympiad training teams in the All-Canada Mathematics Competition (COMC).
- He has won national championships and perfect scores in competitions such as Pascal, Cayley, and Fermat multiple times.
- Awarded prizes in SMT and PUMaC proof competitions held at prestigious universities such as Stanford and Princeton.
- Meritorious won an award in the HiMCM Global High School Modeling Competition.

Furthermore, most students take math courses one to two grades ahead of schedule, and their scores in calculus and statistics are often 95 to 100. Some eleventh-grade students have already taken university-level math courses at UBC.
