Dunbar Street in Vancouver's West End, between 19th and 29th Streets (two campuses), there is an unadvertised educational planning company Hillhouse (Taller Educational Consulting), which has been hidden in the city for nearly 20 years, and is dedicated to the development of students in the areas of “personality, academics, sports, arts, leadership and volunteerism”. We focus on the development of thinking and writing, math and creative skills, focusing on literature and science, familiar with IB/AP/SAT/ACT/ SSAT, and competing in various subjects, starting from elementary school or junior high school to cultivate and solidify the foundation, and then bide our time to build up a strong foundation to reach a high level of success.

Our students come from all over Metro Vancouver, from Vancouver, West Vancouver, White Rock, Surrey and Coquitlam; as well as from top-ranked private schools in the US and the UK, such as Phillips Andover and Via Public Schools; our graduates end up going to Harvard, Yale, Wharton, Wharton Dual Degree, Stanford, New York Graduate School of Business, Columbia, Johns Hopkins, Berkeley, UCLA respectively, USC, Cornell Architecture, Cambridge, AAA Architecture, Pratt Interior Design, Parsons, UBC, and many science and business schools.

In the beginning, we start with the name of Hillhouse.

Hillhouse originated from Hillhouse Ave.

At Yale University. Between Yale University's Science Center and the School of Management, there is Hillhouse Ave. Business Management, completing his studies, participating in various clubs, volunteer activities and research, and team competitions, and finally obtaining a double degree in life sciences and economics with excellent grades. With Hillhouse as our company name, we want all of our children to be healthy and well-rounded.

Achievement Profile:
Rapid improvement in coursework:
100% of our students are motivated to learn, make significant progress, and meet the requirements for admission to US and Canadian universities. The vast majority of our students have average scores in the nineties.

For example, many of our students have been recognized for being first in English and Science in ninth grade, just after they entered middle school and left ELL.
Some of our students have gone from passing grades in math, physics, and other major subjects to scores in the 90s, restoring their confidence and inspiring them to learn.
Tutored students in various middle school courses, including AP and IB, and several students have been recognized as top three in their school's coursework, including Churchill IB, St Georges, and other highly competitive middle schools.

Most of our students have SAT scores of 1560 or higher, and ACT scores of 35 or higher.

We are good at guiding and transforming students. In our center, there are students who are confused about their future and lack of motivation, those who have difficulty in advancing to ELL, those who are addicted to the Internet and cell phones, those who are not careful in making friends and whose grades have dropped drastically, and those who are hyperactive or introverted, shy and inept at expressing themselves.  … There are a lot of reasons for students to have poor grades, and our teachers are all enthusiastic, encouraging and caring. Our teachers are passionate about encouraging and caring for our students, stimulating their enthusiasm and motivation for learning, and finding scientific learning methods, so that they can enter their ideal universities, or are making continuous progress.

Competition results:

1. Writing: Many of our students' writing skills continue to improve, and some of our students' English scores remain in the forefront of the school, with many students receiving first place recognition in English in grades 10-12, and being selected to participate in the North American Teachers' Association Writing Contest, the Scholars' Cup Writing Contest and winning the Grand Prize, and participating in the New York Times editorials, the John Locke, the Concord review, and other high content international contests to win gold medals or to publish their essays. Our students have been selected to participate in the North American Teachers Association Writing Contest, the Scholars Cup Writing Contest and won the Grand Prize, the New York Times Editorial, John Locke, Concord review, and other high stakes international competitions and won gold medals or publications, poetry contests, and second place in the International History Olympiad for their individual essays.

2. Mathematics: Since 2006, students have participated in the US and Canadian Mathematical Olympiads, entering the USAMO, CMO, AIME, participating in the AMC8, 10, 12, COMC, etc. ...... with excellent results, the BC Mathematical Challenge team champion, individual top three... Several students have won the Churchill Prize in these competitions, and have been awarded the first prize for their individual papers in the International History Olympiad. these competitions have been rewarded with first place in Churchill IB, St Georges, WPGA, Lord Byng, Collingwood, and other schools.

3. academic competitions: since 2007, Biology, Physics and Chemistry, more than a dozen times into the International Olympiad training, there are students representing the Canadian team to enter the International Olympiad in Biology and Physics and won the prize, every year there are students to win the gold, silver and bronze medals of various competitions in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Extracurricular Activities:

Our students are actively involved in various clubs, community activities and volunteering both inside and outside the classroom. Private School Application Results:

Most of the students we have helped so far have successfully applied to St Georges, Crofton, Yorkhouse, Collingwood, Southpointe Academy, Mulgrave... Some of our students have also been admitted to Hong Kong's Hankey and French Schools, as well as American private schools.

Our Teachers

Our team of teachers, with high professional qualifications and excellent classroom performance, all graduated from public and private IB or AP programs in secondary school, and 50% of our teachers have PhDs and post-doctoral degrees in medicine, engineering, and literature. We also have medical researchers, dentists, pharmacists, and engineers, all of whom are collaborative, hard-working, and caring for our students.
