During high school, Nicholas excelled in English 12, Pre-Calculus 12, Physics 12, and Chemistry 12, receiving multiple awards for academic achievement.
Nicholas is currently pursuing an Honours degree in Chemistry at the University of British Columbia (UBC). He has maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA in his first two years, with a focus on organic, inorganic, and analytical chemistry, and has been named to the UBC Dean’s List for two consecutive years.
Teaching Experience
During high school, Nicholas completed Peer Tutoring 11 and served as a Teaching Assistant for the Grade 9/10 Electronics course, where he planned and delivered several lessons and was responsible for grading online assignments. He also served as a TA for English 12, contributing to course planning and assignment evaluation.
Outside of class, Nicholas provided group tutoring in mathematics, helping students improve their performance across levels from Math 9 to Pre-Calculus 12. In one-on-one settings, he successfully guided a student through the Physics 12 online course, resulting in excellent final results, and supported an ESL student in improving English speaking skills.
Nicholas emphasizes the development of critical thinking and problem-solving abilities—skills that are essential not only for success in math and science, but also for broader academic achievement.
