Nick studied both humanities and sciences in high school and university. In mathematics, he has a background in math competitions and data science research. In physics, he entered the Shanghai Physics League finals as a non-competition student in high school. He has excellent communication skills, using simple yet precise language to describe and explain problems. He strives to connect complex problems with students' everyday intuition, helping them easily grasp complex concepts in mathematics, physics, statistics, and even AI. Due to his excellent teaching methods, Nick's students usually find learning easy and experience a growing sense of accomplishment from solving problems. In this relaxed atmosphere, students also acquire a very solid grasp of knowledge.
Nick, a graduate of Fudan University and an exchange student at UC Berkeley, earned his Master's degree in Data Science from UBC with straight A's. He tutors students at our company in mathematics, statistics, and physics, courses offered by universities including UC Berkeley, the University of Toronto's business school, and UBC. Together with Peter, he tutors students preparing for math and physics competitions at Crofton, Lord Byng, and UHill Universities, as well as for Physics 11 and 12, and AP Calculus, Statistics, and Physics 1 and 2. His teaching style is highly popular with students. Under his guidance, students overcome difficult physics problems, solving each one with ease using correct physics reasoning.
To date, Mr. Nick has tutored many students who were of average ability and helped them achieve excellent scores such as SAT 1560 or above, AP Calculus 5, top 10% in math competitions, and numerous awards in mathematical modeling competitions. He has also helped students achieve scores of 95 or 96 or above in online school courses.
