Intermediate Reading and Writing

A weekly class that helps develop students' prompt writing and critical reading skills. In the first hour, students respond to and discuss a question designed to prompt their thinking about past experiences, philosophical ideas or world events. In the second hour, students read and analyze a short story chosen from a diverse range of authors and time periods. Suitable for grades 6-8.
