Shining on the world stage
Recently, Hillhouse graduates made a dazzling appearance at the Neuroscience Conference and published a paper in The Lancet Neurology, a top global medical journal, becoming elites on the global academic stage .

1. Scientific research and entrepreneurship, taking off side by side
From Johns Hopkins to MIT and Harvard Medical School, and now embarking on his entrepreneurial journey with MIT Engine while simultaneously beginning his doctoral research—he uses his passion as a guiding light to bravely explore the infinite boundaries of science .
2. Systematic cultivation ignites passion for life sciences.
All of this stems from Hillhouse's robust and outstanding teaching team and systematic goal-oriented management and development system . He came to Hillhouse for comprehensive education starting in fifth grade. Full of curiosity about the world, he showed promise in the field of life sciences— we began by sparking his interest in the classroom, accompanied by a series of educational videos on plants, animals, and the human body consistent with the curriculum, supplemented by knowledge learning, immersive learning in the science museum, experimental training, forest exploration… and scientific research training. From seventh grade onwards, he represented St. George's Secondary School at the Science Fair every year, entered the CBO Biology Olympiad, achieved a top-six ranking in Canada, and joined the Olympiad training team… Nearly ten years of dedicated companionship and comprehensive development have been invaluable. His interest has been deeply cultivated, and his scientific thinking and expression abilities have matured day by day .
3. Turn weaknesses into opportunities for growth
Like most children, he went through a phase of academic imbalance—loving life sciences but fearing mathematics. Peter's patient guidance and counseling helped him gradually overcome these limitations : not only did his school grades improve, but he also won the school's math competition in eleventh grade and received second prize in the national competition, completing an amazing transformation.
He had missed club activities because he was on his phone, but the teachers' team provided meticulous support and inspiration, which finally helped him open up and embrace the rich and colorful campus life, including activities like boating and Model United Nations. It is especially worth mentioning that he actively participated in the preparation of the school's new laboratory .

4. Excellent academic performance and skills
Under the guidance of his teachers, his learning abilities grew stronger and stronger. He achieved high scores of 98-100 in AP Biology, Chemistry, Statistics, Calculus, and History at St. George's School, with an average grade of 97. Steven's writing training helped him shine with independent thinking and expression . Today, his teachers—Kevin, Halliwell, Peter, Lily, and others— continue to support the growth of many more students at Hillhouse with their professionalism and passion .
Hillhouse not only focuses on academic performance, but also emphasizes cultivating core competencies such as critical thinking, logical reasoning, and written expression . These abilities form a solid foundation for students to reach the pinnacle of scientific research.
