Academic background
Aaron is an outstanding graduate of St. George's High School. He earned his undergraduate degree in English Literature from the University of Washington with excellent grades, receiving a Dean's List honor. He also holds a PhD in English Writing and Literature from the University of Texas at Austin. His areas of expertise include Renaissance drama, American realism, Enlightenment poetry, and literary criticism. His doctoral dissertation focused on 19th- and early 20th-century British and American novels. After graduation, he stayed on to teach English, guiding students in exploring profound and engaging literature. He recently returned to Vancouver to work full-time teaching English at Hillhouse.

Teaching experience
Aaron has exceptional English literature skills and over ten years of teaching experience.
At the University of Texas at Austin:
As a lecturer, I offer the following courses:
• Rhetorical skills • Critical thinking training • Grammar and rhetoric • Editing and evaluating writing in various academic genres • Tutoring students on their graduation theses • Giving speeches on plagiarism and academic integrity

During his doctoral studies, he served as an advisor at the university's writing center, helping students improve their writing skills.
He teaches English at Madison High School in Houston and trains University of Texas students to provide counseling and guidance to high school students, annotating and evaluating their work in an effort to encourage them to pursue higher education.

During my doctoral studies, I guided students both on and off campus in completing literary papers, and tutored undergraduate and secondary school students in writing personal statements and application documents for university, graduate, and doctoral programs, accumulating over a thousand hours of experience. I also helped students conduct research in English literature and improve their English reading and writing skills.
