Working in organizations such as food critics has given me the ability to distill complex ideas into easily understandable content—a skill every teacher needs. As a teaching assistant and technology producer at UBC's School of Journalism, I teach graduate students how to use audio and video equipment to present their projects.
Courses
Stephane is temporarily leaving Canada for work. (Professor online)
Returning to Hillhouse in March, he developed an interdisciplinary curriculum for Hillhouse students that integrates storytelling, critical thinking, and practical skills. This includes:
A course that explores documentary storytelling and the construction of photographic narrative.
An English and social studies course that explores politics through fiction and nonfiction literature.
A course that explores the urban environment from a human geography perspective.
As a teacher at Hihouse, he helps students believe in their abilities while giving them the tools to express themselves confidently.
