Hillhouse STEM Summer Camp | Turning "Curiosity" into True Ability

Apr 21, 2026

This summer, Hillhouse's fully upgraded science summer camp

Integrates three major subjects: Chemistry + Biology + Physics

To help children truly understand that science is never separate knowledge,

but a complete world.

Chemistry ModuleExperiments to unlock the microscopic world

From "visible color changes" to "invisible molecular world."

DIY natural acid-base indicator

Extract pigment from red cabbage to test the pH of different water samples and understand real-world issues like ocean acidification.

Freezing point depression experiment

Why do we sprinkle salt in winter? Directly observe temperature changes and melting rates through experiments.

Chromatography separation experiment

Separate black ink into multiple colors to intuitively understand "mixtures vs. pure substances."

Tea dissolution and extraction

Compare extraction effects at different temperatures and with different solvents, introducing "variable control" and experimental design thinking.

Biology ModuleMaking life "visible"

From cells to DNA, transforming abstract concepts into real experiences.

Kiwi DNA extraction

Seeing the "instruction manual of life" for the first time.

Onion epidermal cell experiment (microscope observation)

Understanding osmosis, cell structure, and concentration changes

Enzyme reaction experiment (liver/potato)

Observe bubble formation and understand the catalytic mechanism of enzymes.

Cell 3D model creation

Build 3D cells by hand to reinforce structural memory.

Physics ModuleTransforming abstractions into "playable" knowledge

No more rote memorization of formulas; instead, "make" them with your own hands.

Basic circuit building

Series/parallel circuits, voltage and current measurement, step-by-step understanding of "why the light gets brighter."

Convex lens imaging experiment

Understand the principles of cameras, eyes, and magnifying glasses through experiments.

Pulley system research on how to save effort

A pulley system is a simple machine. It doesn't "save work out of thin air" but exchanges "force" and "distance."

This summer, let learning extend beyond the classroom and let curiosity truly take root. We look forward to seeing you at the Hillhouse Science Summer Camp

to embark on a more efficient and inspiring growth journey together.
