This year, Hillhouse Education welcomed many bright, thoughtful, and inquisitive G3/4 third and fourth graders. Thus, the "Young Scientist" long-term cultivation program was naturally born.
Curiosity, Nurturing the Future Program
We hope this isn't just a classroom, but rather a warm learning community: everyone reads, writes, and tackles challenging math problems together, discovers wonderful stories in nature, engages in hands-on scientific exploration, and grows and moves forward together by helping each other. The child below is one such example.
Although this mom and child had just returned to Vancouver, their English foundation was excellent. The child could solve a Rubik's Cube incredibly fast and had borrowed a thick popular science book about parasites from a nearby library. At that moment, I felt as if I was seeing my son Steven when he was young and first came to Vancouver – the same age, the same curiosity, which made me feel incredibly close. Such children are like newly sprouted seedlings that need to be nurtured scientifically and patiently.

I couldn't help but chat with a few mothers in the company lobby, sharing about the days when we used to "immerse" ourselves in the central library almost every weekend: which sections to find books in, which types of books are more suitable for this age group, how to gradually guide children into the world of scientific experiments... And this mother was highly proactive, immediately starting to plan and implement.
I really look forward to our G3/4 parents being able to communicate and explore together in the future, allowing their children to grow in a more empowering environment.
